Well 3 weeks in and what an adventure it has been. Just to
start I would like to make a list of just some of the craziness that we have
faced thus far.
Hundreds of mosquito bites
swollen eyes
throwing up
the runs
humidity that makes my hair into a fro
bed bugs
crazy thunderstorms
being denied by taxis
migraines
Heat rash
Family problems
relationship drama
dehydration
dog fights
ants
cockroaches

All of that only3 weeks in, and yet we stand every day
with smile on our faces and embrace what is next. We have not lost our joy. We
have not stopped praying, or laughing or praising Jesus, because even though it
has been a bumpy ride we have also been blessed with making new relationships
with amazing new people, going into villages and preschools and churches to
pray and bless others. Being able to preform 3 dances and multiple songs to
bless our Fijian family. Countless laughing fits as we become more unified as a
team of sisters sharing passion to change the world of education in Fiji. We
have been helping build a preschool by making materials and projects. We also
were able to pray over the building that was damaged by the hurricane in
December. We taught a seminar to local teachers about becoming a teacher that
God can use, and how to value yourself, and how to value a child. We saw walls
come down in people lives and were able to stand in prayer and support them. I
am amazed that is has only been two weeks because of the amount we have
experienced and gone through already. God is shaping and molding us daily into
the women and teachers that he desires for us to be. We are learning to be
spirit led and to submit everything we have to Him. We are living in a foreign
place with new discoveries of culture and challenges every day, but we can meet
those head on and smile because God is with us and we are a unified team. I
have been abundantly blessed by the girls on my team as we all grow closer all
the time. We have now been in Lautoka for 2 weeks and suva the capitol city for almost a week. here we will be partnering with a few new
preschools as well as hopefully setting up a mobile preschool for the villages
around us. We will be teaching more seminars and hopefully reaching out and
touching many more lives.
Please keep us in your prayers
