He is faithful.

Happy Mother's Day!
Well this outreach is now over half way done and so I figured I was due for anther update. We have 4 weeks left in this country and it's hard to believe that after 15 months this course and season of my life will soon come to an end. Now I'm reminding myself not to be too focused on that as I continue to pour my all into these remaining four weeks.
We have been really enjoying our time in Suva and I personally am so thankful for the cooler weather. There has been lots of rain and sometimes I feel a bit like I'm in Langley.
As far as the team we have been having quite the ride physically. Two of our girls have been pretty sick for the past couple weeks and it is a slow process on the road to recovery but we are continuing to stand confidently that it will all come to pass. We have also had a great deal of spiritual warfare on this property. There have been a lot of strong holds needing to be broken and a lot of darkness that we have been working through. We feel as though our mission of being here has gone beyond working in the preschools but also to bring freedom and restoration to the church and property we are living on. We have been using our spiritual weapons to fight the enemy and are excited as we continue to see break through. It has been exhausting and trying on us all so please keep lifting us up in prayer for that. I have never experienced battles like this before. But we are already conquerors because we have Jesus on our side.
With the preschool we have been blessed to keep working on the projects and building resources for the three schools. We are seeing the schools grow all the time. I personally have been amazed just by the creativity that Jesus has blessed me with. Being someone who always wished to be creative but never really feeling it, I was astonished when The Lord gifted me to pick up a needle and thread and hand sew 3 different projects. To come up with ways of creating activities for the kids that I never could have without him. God is so good. I've also been able to teach Sunday school for a couple weeks and share at kids camps. All these amazing opportunities have been handed to us and we are seeing lives changed.
God has been stretching me to at times what feels like all I can handle but then just as he always does he strengthens and provides exactly what I need, and them some.
Last week we were praying to see more of gods miracles and a d God challenged me to start asking and expecting so I prayed that the next time I went into the grocery store I would win more than .30 cents. Now I have to explain what that means. You see we always shop at the same place and with every purchase we get a peel and save card. So we have been collecting them to save up for some treat for the team and every time I go I get .30 cents. But I prayed for more. So I went to the store and guess what, I won $1.00. But god said keep expecting greater things. I was pretty stoked on the dollar but knew god had even greater miracles for us. So two days later when I was buying some more groceries I was handing a peel and save card and then I walked out of the store. Not really thinking much of it I opened the card and kept walking. Suddenly I stopped in my tracks because on my card was not .30 not 1.00 but$ 100!!! God was multiplying.
He is so good. His faithfulness and desire to lavish good gifts on us is amazing.
Please pray for this up coming week we have a 2 day seminar and another 2 days of presentations.
Keep our health And spiritual warfare I. Your prayers as well

  1. Hi Becky, Today in the FIE class, Liz Norris taught on "Teachers that God can use." She reminded us that one of the biggest hang ups that teachers have is pride. So, she had us all do a study on humility from the Bible and the root words. I love how you are astonished at the creativity you've come up with for these teaching ideas. You admit that you've never thought yourself as very creative, but you sewed three different projects for teaching. And you give God the glory for that inspiration! Way to go, girl! Miss you and the others very much. The stuff you asked for prayer, esp. the sp. warfare beyond the teaching stuff, are things that Kaila, Georgina, and Vaitulu and I have prayed for you several timees since you've been gone. Fondly, Kris
